SIDON, Lebanon : Residents of the coastal city of Sidon discovered over the weekend that an otherwise abandoned building was being used by drug addicts and immediately informed security forces. Inside the two-story building, there is a large amount of used syringes filled with blood, as well as spoons and other tools related to drug use. Torn clothing and blood-stained shoes litter the ground. There are also blankets, pillows and mattresses — some also stained with blood. The building stands in the Kishk neighborhood and residents told The Daily Star that they have recently seen several people going in and out. The police have launched an investigation.
